TRIBUN JATENG,
Magelang - Vice Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly Hidayat Nur
Wahid deplores government policies related to the blocking of a number of sites
that are claimed as a medium for the spread of radicalism. Hidayat, the policy
was too hasty because the government does not yet have a strong legal
foundation of radicalism itself.
"The
government should have a strong legal basis, so that when they wanted to do the
bans already clear foundation. The mistake (site) was what, after the obvious
guilt imposed new sanctions, not direct execution," Hidayat said after
attending the Socialization of Four Pillars of Nation and State at Hotel
Borobudur, Magelang, Friday (10/04/2015).
Furthermore,
Hidayat questioned the intention behind the blocking of websites that radical.
Therefore, there is no previous public outreach to related matters or benchmark
on which the blocking of these media.
"Kemenkominfo
and BNPT said the blocking of the proposed society. Society has also proposed
blocking porn sites, a separatist movement which also has many sites and in
clear violation of Indonesian law, but whether that blocked sites already maximized,"
said Hidayat.
So
far, the former president of MCC, definition of radicalism itself unclear. As a
result, the government seemed inconsistent when to reopen 12 of the 19 sites
that have previously been blocked.
Hidayat
agreed with the rejection of terrorism and radicalism. However, he warned that
Indonesian law also opposes all forms of separatism and communism. Two things
struck Hidayat also need attention.
"Separatist
group was also incredible, you know. In fact, they dare to do demonstration at
roundabout wear Papua flag. If we want to actually enforce the law with
justice, then all that can and can not break the law should also be
banned," said Hidayat.
