Mathematician in the Film “A Beautiful Mind” Dies


US mathematician John Forbes Nash, who inspired the Oscar-winning movie, A Beautiful Mind, died in an accident in New Jersey.

According to the BBC, Sunday (05/24/2015), Nash died with his wife, Alicia Nash, when the taxi carrying both hit.

New Jersey media reports, the two might not wearing a seat belt while riding the taxi.

Nash is known as a mathematician from Princeton University who won the Nobel Prize in economics in 1994.

Nash Research is the most famous of the "game theory". The study interactively learn decisions where the outcome is determined by all the players.

The story of Nash and his struggle to live with schizophrenia raised in a book written by Sylvia Nasar. The article underlies the movie A Beautiful Mind star Russell Crowe.

Nash was born on June 13, 1928. He is married to Alicia in 1957, when he was becoming a new star in the world of mathematics.

When subjected to severe schizophrenia, Nash was divorced in 1957. Nevertheless, Nash and Alicia relations remain close.

Nash's condition began to improve in the 1980s. He later remarried with Alicia in 2001.

Nash's death made the Americans and the world grieves. It was shown from posting status and tweet on Facebook and Twitter.

Actor Russell Crowe chirped, "Stunned. My heart for John, Alicia, and family. What an extraordinary friendship. Beautiful thinking, beautiful soul."
